A complete block signaling module that includes the signals, train sensors and block detector. Available   pre-wired and ready to operate or in kit form.  With the assembled version all you do is install it and hook up power (12 or 24 VDC). The kit version requires you to connect components to the block buss with easy to use snap on connectors, no soldering.  Use this package as a 'filler' between other block packages or as a stand alone block.

Detects trains entering and leaving the block with sealed magnetic sensors that you mount on your ties. Fully supports the included SL1/3 3 aspect searchlight signals to include the remote yellow aspect (train in adjacent block). Supports backing moves. All components are fully waterproof and designed for 24x7 operation. Includes two magnets (enough for one train).

Single blocks are available in lengths of between 10 and 50 feet (select in options, Dim A) and come with a  backbone cable that interconnects all the components. All you have to do to install the package is to mount the signals, press the train sensors into the inside of your tie, mount the track side relay box and connect up power.  With the kit version the process is similar except you will install wire connectors where you see the block dots in the wiring diagram below. The package can run off track power (constant DC or DCC) or a separate DC supply.

The module includes interconnects on both ends to allow you to connect it to any other IPTrains block signaling or interlocking module. Power may be shared between modules to simplify wiring. The diagram below shows the internal wiring of the module including train sensors, the block detector module and the signals. All of that wiring is done for you in the assembled package, in the kit version you will connect the wires as shown.  Includes simple solder free snap on connectors and detailed instructions.

The block control electronics are housed in a waterproof self contained track side structure with wiring connected to the external components and signals. The structure dimensions are 3x2x1 inches and it is painted silver in color to resemble a relay box. All active components are encapsulated (potted) in resin for long term trouble free operation out doors.

Sensor options include our standard in tie train sensor or our highly sensitive bar double sensor.  The double bar sensor include both the red and the green sensor in one waterproof package and may be mounted on the ties to the right of the rail or below grade beneath the right rail.
