In a nutshell

The Digital Video Track Side [Wireless] (DVTSW) package includes everything you need to install track side streaming video over WiFi in a structure, optionally including the structure!. Kit contains one IP-2061 digital IP cam, one self contained IP web server, WiFi dongle and AC plug in 5VDC power supply. For outdoor use we recommend the optional local DC track power supply. Furnished ready to run, you just need a wireless access point to link it to your home network.

Use this unit for track side locations where you do not want to run Ethernet cable to, either indoors or outdoors.

Multiple power options

This is the same web server, camera and WiFi dongle as found in our on board digital video products. It may be powered either by an AC 5VDC power supply or with the optional local DC supply.  The DC supply may be powered any (constant) voltage from 12 to 28 V AC/DC or DCC.  May be powered by constant track power when used outdoors or indoors. Draws about 200ma @24VDC when transmitting video.

Not just for G scale

Small scale folks, this unit will fit in many O/S/HO or even N scale structures on your railroad! Place it in a structure far from the front of your layout and see what the locals see, in real time, on your computer or over the Internet! Share your railroad with friends or the Grand kids. Use either the 'structure' and/or 'local power' option to buy only what you need.

Not just for trains ...

Need an inexpensive WIRELESS security camera? Well this is the one. Includes trigger on motion detection, notification, etc. 2 Lux low light capability. Supports both local (memory stick) (with optional hub) and remote (PC) storage of captured video. Will support 2 cams AND USB memory stick with optional hub kit. Use of WiFi means you can place web server and cams almost anywhere in your house or business without having to pull cable. When used as a security camera you will most likely want the 5VDC local power option.
