The signaling starter kit is the fastest and simplest way to get started with our signals. It contains everything you need to 'protect' a siding on your railroad, all prewired and ready to install. You don't need auxiliary contacts on your switch machine because we include one of our magnetic turnout sensors, works with any turnout, manual, electric or pnuematic.

The basic Signaling Starter Kit includes one 'shorty' 3 aspect searchlight signal and one magnetic turnout sensor. You mount the signal in the ground with the included ground mount base on the facing point side of the turnout and bolt the turnout sensor on to the switch. You then connect the power leads to the track ( 18 - 26V constant track power, DC or DCC) and mount the magnet on the throw bar of the turnout. That's it, you're done and you have a working signal that will display green for the main line or yellow for the siding.

Want to protect the main line on the trailing point side? Then add the optional dwarf signal. It will display green for the main and red when the turnout is lined for the siding.

The photos above show the signals installed on the IPTrains home road and the components of the kit. All the wiring except the track power connection is done for you. The sensor is shown mounted below the switch, it may be mounted above if you like. The final photo shows a view of the optional dwarf from the cab of an approaching locomotive.

Total time to install is about 15 minutes and you've got working signal(s). You do not need to be a railroad electronics guru to install this package, you just need to be able to connect two wires...
