Are you a train geek? Well then you are in the right place. We are Garden Railway guys with a technical bent. Our mission is simple: to provide the best high tech Garden Railway products and service to our customers at the lowest prices possible. We build this stuff because we've discovered a different way to look at the hobby, from track level on up. Have you ever asked yourself 'What if I could climb in the cab or the caboose of my trains, how would the world look from that perspective?' That's how we run our railroads, from the train, with the engineers view of the world. Everything we make is designed to facilitate that perspective on the hobby. Have you ever considered buying a product for your railroad but were unsure about the technical details, what it does, how it works, is it compatible with your existing systems? We have been there as well. There are many fine companies out there building great stuff for the model railroad community but in many cases you have to actually buy the product to find out how it works. This is due in part to the manufacturer -> hobby shop -> consumer model which has dominated the hobby until recently. If you had a good hobby shop and you talked to the right guy, then maybe you could get those questions answered before you put your cash on the barrel head. And maybe not... We're different, we sell directly to you only, we don't use a middle man. This means both that we can sell our products more inexpensively (there is an enormous amount of money tied up in the middleman part of the traditional sales chain) and the we have to give you detailed technical information up front. And that information had best be both accurate and honest or we'll run out of customers very quickly... This is why we maintain a highly detailed technical reference site for all our products with over 100 pages of product information, tips and FAQs. Think of it as a 'virtual' hobby shop guy...
