  • By purchasing our products you acknowledge that our products are intended for use by adults only, they are not toys. Our products use electricity and require prudent use and reasonable care. Our products contain lead and other heavy metals, do not ingest our products and do wash your hands after installing or handling our products.

    This site may contain other proprietary notices and copyright information, the terms of which must be observed and followed. Information on this site may contain technical inaccuracies or typographical errors. Information, including product pricing and availability, may be changed or updated without notice. IPTrains LLC and its subsidiaries reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, and/or cancel orders in its discretion, including, without limitation, if IPTrains LLC believes that customer conduct violates applicable law or is harmful to the interests of IPTrains LLC and its subsidiaries.



  • Privacy Policy

  • IPTrains LLC use of personal information that you may submit to IPTrains LLC through this Web site is governed by the IPTrains LLC Privacy Policy. In a nutshell this means that we will not sell or share your email address or other marking information to any third party.



  • Shipping & Delivery

  • IPTrains LLC ships most products except signal bridges worldwide. The risk of loss and title for all merchandise ordered on this Web site pass to you when the merchandise is delivered to the shipping carrier. Our default shipping policy is via USPS however you may elect to ship by UPS.

    Payment:  If you use PayPal your card you will be charged at purchase time.  If you'd prefer to pay when we are ready to ship the item then use the 'print and call' option from the payment choices.  We will fabricate your order and notify you when it is ready for shipping and send you and invoice with instructions for making payment by PayPal at that time.  Since IPTrains is a 'spare time' busines and we don't have a lot of that, we suggest that you use the print and call payment option for orders over $100. We do make a good faith effort to get orders out in a reasonable time frame but life does get in the way on occasion.

    Deposits: For orders of $150 or more with the print and call payment option we do require a 30% 'good faith' deposit.  Use the 'print and call' option and we'll contact you with with deposit instructions.  Once we receive your deposit we'll begin work on your order.

    Signal lead times: Signals have a 10 to 20 business day lead time as they are fabricated to your order in our in house shops. Signals with our default APC interface normally only require 10 business days, signals with specialized interfaces (DigiTrax and DCCBitSwitch) require up to 30 business days as we need to build the interface. 

    Video products lead times: Although we do keep substantial inventory, some of our Trainvision items come from off shore sources and can take up to three weeks to replenish when stock runs low. We will allow a back order on these items.  We make every effort to keep our inventory data correct, that means if the store shows an item as 'in stock' it normally is. If this proves not to be the case, we will contact you with an estimated lead time and get your concurrence before processing your order. As always We do not normally charge you (except for deposits) until an item ships unless you are paying with PayPal.

    Signal Bridge lead times: Signal bridge lead times run from 10 to 60 days depending on the type of bridge ordered and our stock levels.  In general, welding is faster than brazing so steel bridges will be quicker. 

    Advance orders From time to time we will announce new items along with their projected availability date. You may advance order these items if you wish and we will not charge your card until the items ships. However, see the PayPal exception below

    PayPal orders are charged at order time regardless of stock levels because of the nature of the PayPal transaction. If you want to take advantage of our general 'we don't charge until we ship' policy, use our print and call payment method.  We have no control over this, it is the nature of the PayPal service.

    PayPal customers, if you want to enter a discount coupon do not select the PayPal icon in the first checkout screen, you will be given another chance later in the process.  Move to the final checkout screen, enter your coupon code, apply it and then select PayPal as the payment method.



  • International

  •  

    Customs and import duties may be applied to International orders when the shipment reaches its destination. Such charges are the responsibility of the recipient of your order and vary from country to country. Contact your local customs office for details.



    Shipping laws are different in each country. It is your responsibility to check with your Customs office to verify whether the country to which you are shipping permits the shipment of your products. IPTrains LLC is not responsible for any direct, indirect, punitive, or consequential damages that arise from improper international shipping practices.



  • Sales Tax

  • IPTrains LLC charges sales tax for merchandise ordered on this Web site based on the applicable state sales tax rate and the location to which the order is being shipped.



  • Warranties

  • All IPTrains items carry a basic 90 warranty from date of purchase. Items that we manufacture in house (all signals and signal related items) carry a 2 year warranty against defects in manufacturing. In simple English this means that if an LED burns out in one of our signals within 2 years of purchase we will replace that signal. Items that we integrate (DVRAC and related items, floating battery conversion kits, etc. carry a basic 90 day from date of purchase warranty against manufacturing defects and may carry a longer OEM warranty on an individual basis (IP cams, web servers,  etc). Our batteries are warrantied for one year against manufacturing defects and for 500 charge/discharge cycles at 80% of nominal charge.

    Misuse or abuse of any item we sell may void the above warranties. For example, if you drive your lawn tractor over one of our signals or drop your IP cam in the pool, it's on you. If you connect one of our products to a higher voltage than that specified in the instructions, we will not be held responsible for the resulting smoke



  • Return Policy

  • You may purchase merchandise from this Web site by using any one of the payment options listed in our payment section. IPTrains LLC reserves the right to change its payment procedures at any time without prior notice to you. Defective items may be returned only with an RMA, contact IPTrains LLC for issuance of an RMA.

    GOVERNING LAW: In the event of litigation both parties agree that the Law of the State of business registration of IPTrains LLC shall apply and both parties shall consent to the jurisdiction of said State's courts, or in the event of diversity of citizenship, the United States District Court for the (District). Both parties expressly waive a trial by jury.

    MISCELLANEOUS: The Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between you and IPTrains LLC with respect to this Web site. The Terms and Conditions supercede all prior or contemporaneous communications and proposals, whether electronic, oral or written between you and IPTrains LLC with respect to this Web site. No modification of the Terms and Conditions shall be effective unless it is authorized by IPTrains LLC. If any provision of the Terms and Conditions is found to be contrary to law, then such provision(s) shall be constructed in a manner to closely reflect, as much as possible, the intentions of the parties, with the other provisions remaining in full force and effect.
